Nkhensani Rihlampfu
Nkhensani Rihlampfu matriculated at Nylstroom Hoerskool in a town called Modimolle. He went to study fine arts at Tshwane University of Technology in Pretoria where he obtained his B-Tech in Fine and Applied Arts majoring in painting and print-making.
Over the years Rihlampfu was involved in several art programmes, a number of exhibitions and produced many commissioned pieces including a few sculptures for the National Heritage Monument South Africa. Another of the commissions includes a painting that he did for the Constitutional Hill in Johannesburg. Rihlampfu works in multidisciplinary materials that include Sculpture, painting and drawing. To list a few of the spaces Rihlampfu has exhibited in: The Absa LAtelier, Grahamstown Arts Festival, Pretoria Art Museum, PPC Imaginarium, Turbine Art Fair and The FNB Joburg Art Fair.
Rihlampfu has worked at Workhorse Bronze Foundry where he was involved in casting multiple Artists sculptures including William Kentridges bronze sculptures. In addition Rihlampfu has also worked with a few other prominent South African artists such as Nandipha Mntambo, Nelson Makamo, Nicolas Hlobo and Louis Oliver.
